Peppard Remembers 1914-1918

On 9th, 10th and 11th 2018 November, Peppard Revels are hosting a weekend of events

to remember, celebrate, commemorate and reflect

the end of World War One a hundred years ago.

Friday 9th November 7pm.

A Special Film Night showing 'A Testament of Youth'a 2014 British drama film based on the First World War memoirs of the Vera Brittain, an independent young woman who abandoned her Oxford Studies to become a war nurse.

Venue is Peppard War Memorial Hall.
Tickets £10 includes light meal and glass of wine.  Raffle as usual.

Saturday 10th November 7pm.

A 1914-18 themed Rememberance Dance 

at Peppard War Memorial Hall and Marquee 

Nepalese supper (menu) by "The Happy Gurkhas"

Live music by "The Hipcats

Other entertainment during the evening, including a magician, raffle and more. 

1914-18 costumes optional.

Entry by ticket (in advance) only, limited to 200 guests.

Sunday 11th November


Afternoon - From 3pm until 5pm at Peppard War Memorial Hall

A WW1 Memorabilia Exhibition, with Teas and Cake.


Evening - 7pm, on Peppard Top Common,

we will be joining 1200 other villages across the UK lighting the beacon.

This is part of “Battle’s Over”  a National tribute & recognition of those who gave their lives .

Music, drinks, bread and hot "Unicorn Pub" soup available.  

Free admission and parking.   Please arrive by 6:45pm.

For those who cannot come to the Common for the beacon lighting,  we will be selling 'We will remember them' candles for you to light at 7pm and place in your front room window.
